Fruit-full Communities is a National Lottery Award 2017 finalist! (Environment category)

2017

We are immensely proud to announce that our project has reached the final of the National Lottery Awards 2017 –the annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects. - and it is now up to the public to choose the winner!

The project is in the Environment category and we need your vote NOW! (http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/project/fruit-full-communities)

Fruit-full Communities is working with young people living in YMCA and other housing schemes, supported lodgings and/or attending youth groups across England and Wales.

Together they design and plant orchards, learn new practical skills and explore enterprise opportunities and careers in the Green Economy.  They also gain better understanding of the importance of trees in protecting the environment and have an opportunity to make connections with other young people working with trees in African countries.

VOTE for this project (http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/project/fruit-full-communities) to support young people who design and plant community orchards to gain new skills and improve their local environment!
